General Meeting August 2008.
Featured there will be TurnAround Team consultant Heidi Zeller with a presentation about community-based cultural arts planning and projects, both successes and lessons learned. Heidi has degrees in Public Art Studies and Urban Planning from the University of Southern California, has been involved with international cultural exchange with the Universities of Barcelona and Lisbon and in Cuba, and has worked in successful cultural arts planning and projects in Los Angeles, New Orleans and now Kansas. Heidi’s consultation with the TurnAround Team includes updating current plans and creating master plans to carry current and envisioned cultural and arts projects forward to completion in Central Topeka.

The board meeting is at Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library on the second Thursday of every month at 7pm.

People who are interested in improving the quality and image of Central Topeka, particularly people who live in or own property in the Central Topeka area from Monroe to MacVicar and 21st to the Kansas River, are particularly encouraged to attend. For further information, call 234-2883.
