The TurnAround Team's Mission includes four main goals:

1. Establish a positive community identity.

Enhancing Central Topeka's image through public safety improvements, and promoting and assisting with responsible residential, retail, and public property maintenance. Neighborhood improvement projects, such as landscaping efforts along vital neighborhood streets and intersections, are crucial.

2. Utilize resources for future advancement.

Focus public relations efforts, designed to restore and preserve residential, retail and public facilities, on both area communities and local government.

3. Generate leadership and community involvement.

Strengthening The TurnAround team by clearly defining neighborhood and individual responsibilities, and through networking efforts and sponsorship of community activities.

4. Encourage enthusiasm and initiative.

Generate local business support through cooperative programs providing business funding and development incentives, and targeting commercial areas for future improvements.

People who are interested in improving the quality and image of Central Topeka, particularly people who live in or own property in the Central Topeka area from Monroe to MacVicar and 21st to the Kansas River, are particularly encouraged to attend. For further information, call 234-2883.
